Solarize Uganda Now (SUN)

Our Flagship Program

We're on a mission to electrify 50 schools by 2025.  With our unique, sustainable project design, schools receive their new solar light system free of charge.  By contributing a portion of their old electricity bill each month, they help All We Are solarize new schools.

Lighting Dark Schools

In Uganda and much of Africa, power is expensive, dirty and inconsistent, if it's available at all.  Dark classrooms inhibit learning and motivation.  Studying stops when the light does.  And computers are a nonstarter.  Poor power or no power limits the potential of the next generation.

The answer?  Sustainable solar power.

Energy Savings

Each month for a year, the school is required to
make a sustainability payment. This money is used for maintenance and future projects.

See Who We're Helping

Since 2015, All We Are has designed and installed solar power systems at nine different schools in Uganda. That means well over 4,000 students are enjoying increased study hours and security provided by classroom, dormitory and outdoor lights.

Hear from Our Headmasters

HM2

I believe solar will be more reliable and it will assure that students attend to their their studies everyday.

HM3

This is going to be a great relief for the school because maintaining power for a big institution using hydro power electricity is very expensive.

HM1

A few months ago everything changed here. There was a blackout a week and a half long and we still had lights.
